Mobility at Sea proudly attended this year’s Planet Cruise Holiday Show. Hosted at the sumptuous Marriot Hotel in Meon Valley, the show brought all the industry experts together under one roof; from cruise providers to specialist companies within the cruising world. The aim of the event was to give people information in an informal setting from a friendly, knowledgeable professional on a no-obligation basis. Mission accomplished.
The hotel was jam-packed with both experienced cruisers and newcomers alike.
The venue was packed with representatives offering everything cruise-related from holidays to impartial expert advice. Every topic imaginable was covered, from seasickness to dietary requirements. The hotel was jam-packed with both experienced cruisers and newcomers alike. The attending public were able to gather the information required to make their dream holiday a reality. Many of them did just that, then and there.
As the only approved supplier of mobility equipment to P&O and Cunard cruise lines and the preferred supplier to Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity Cruises, it’s fair to say we had a lot to shout about! We don’t just supply equipment to accessible cabins; we also have the ability, the resources and the expertise to temporarily convert non-accessible cabins into a disabled-friendly environment. This almost eradicates the otherwise lengthy waiting list for accessible cabins and significantly extends the market to the less able.
We were able to speak personally to hundreds of people who didn’t realise how our services could help make their cruise experience more comfortable. We were astounded by the number of people who weren’t just gathering for themselves but on behalf of less able family members and friends. With this information, many of them booked their accessible cruise in confidence on the day.
We lost count of the number of faces that simply lit up upon learning that Mobility at Sea’s clients don’t have to let their mobility issues prevent them from booking that cruise holiday they’ve been dreaming of. That, in itself, makes all of our hard work worthwhile.
